Andrew, Maureen and their team of staff, offer you a warm welcome to the Craven Heifer, Stainforth.
The Craven Heifer is a charming, popular and traditional village pub, offering quality en-suite B & B accommodation, award winning real ales, freshly cooked, locally produced food and roaring log fires.
You can enjoy our chef’s home-cooked dining and pub food, whilst chatting and mingling with the locals of Stainforth. Our extensively refurbished, 7 bedroom en-suite inn is the hub of this friendly village. Located just off the B6479, which takes you from Settle, past Langcliffe and then to Stainforth itself; you will be right in the heart of Ribblesdale and the beautiful 3 Peaks region.
If you are travelling from the M6 you will follow the A65 out of Cumbria or Lancashire, into North Yorkshire passing through Ingleton, Austwick and Helwith Bridge. Alternatively, if you are travelling from Harrogate, Leeds or Bradford, you will by-pass Skipton and follow the A65 through, Gargrave, Hellifield and Long Preston before reaching Settle.
Our country pub with rooms is the perfect location for your stay in the breath taking Yorkshire Dales. You will be only three miles from the start of the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in Horton in Ribblesdale and a similar distance to the bustling market town of Settle. We provide a perfect bed and breakfast location if you are tackling the 3 Peaks, walking the Dales Highway and Ribble Way, or cycling the Way of the Roses from Morcambe to Bridlington. We are also located close to both the National Bridleway and National Cycleway.
If you wish to bring your caravan, motorhome or tent to the Yorkshire Dales, we are only a short walk from Knight Stainforth campsite and a steady stroll up the River Ribble from Langcliffe Caravan Park. Alternatively there are numerous holiday cottages to rent in the surrounding villages of Giggleswick, Langcliffe, Helwith Bridge, Horton-In-Ribblesdale, as well as Stainforth itself.
